Burglary Appeal – Drax Village

North Yorkshire Police have received two reports of suspected linked burglaries that occurred overnight between Saturday 19 September and Sunday 20 September 2026 in Drax Village.

The first incident occurred at an address on Main Road, Drax. The occupant awoke to discover that locks from a rear door had been removed, allowing offenders to gain entry to the property. House and vehicle keys were subsequently stolen from within the address. Two sheds on the premises were also entered and a motorcycle was stolen. The vehicle associated with the stolen keys remains at the property.

The second report was received from an address on Castle Hill Lane, Drax. At approximately 3:45am, dogs at the property began barking aggressively and  security lighting was activated. Upon investigation, it was discovered that a conservatory door at the rear of the property had been opened and blinds had been disturbed. An oil tank door was also found open. At this stage, it is unknown whether anything has been stolen.
